Conducted at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory with Students and Teachers from the Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics, and Elsewhere

In 2010, 2011, 2015, AND 2016, students and teachers from the Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics (E. 116th St. & Pleasant Ave., Manhattan, NY) partnered with scientists from LDEO and CCNY, and fellow students from Singapore and the Netherlands, for culminating experiences to gain better understanding of field-based research. Images above and below are from these Experiences.

In May 2017, students from the Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics and the Gregorio Luperon for Science and Mathematics High School visited the Lamont Campus for “A Taste of Field-Based Research.” Dr. Michael J Passow coordinated this year’s program, with cooperating support from the Lamont-Doherty Core Repository and the Tree Ring Lab.
